I can't imagine how it would work for food preparation or use these are such small sheets and would not make good cutting mats if that's what you are thinking. Imagine a mat made to be CUT for stencil designing isn't made to hold up to being chopped on for food prep. Check out the light weight cutting mats for that purpose which are harder to cut through and definitely food safe. **Q: Can this be cut on a 20w diode laser like the ortur lm 2 pro? if not, do you know what material would work?** A: I tried the Milky 7.5mil on my Ortur and it did not cut.
