My goal was to reduce the drone of the exhaust. Overall, this insulation material, along with the butyl sound deadening, helped to reduce the interior droning noise. As other reviewers have stated, this insulation is very sticky. One thing that I did not like about this product is that the brown wax-like paper used to cover the adhesive until use was very finicky and did not come off cleanly. Often, when removing this paper just before installation, it would not come off uniformly and would tear randomly, leaving small remnants on the adhesive side of the insulation.
