It emits a glow when there’s mechanical stress. But not sure if this is the right type. (According to Wikipedia, they’re supposed to be nano particles and you’re supposed to add europium to it.) **Q: I'm mixing the powder with polyurethane. If I got 2 oz powder I can only make 10 oz combined powder/poly mixture?** A: That is a general starting point that works well but you may be just as happy with a smaller ratio of powder to polyurethane. Also the 2 oz of powder is a meaure of weight (30g) while the 10oz of polyurethane may be in fluid ounces instead. So thing of the 1 to 4 ratio as a starting point for your experiments but not a hard and fast rule! **Q: Can I mix it with any acrylic color and paint on canvas?** A: You can mix it with CLEAR acrylic paint (also know as acrylic medium) and then paint that onto canvas on top of the regular, colored paint. If you mix the powder with colored paint, the pigment in the paint will cover up most of the glow pigment and waste it. I’m sure there’s a learning curve involved but I just sort of eyeballed it and mixed some powder with some midge podge and did several layers over my (already painted) paper mache tentacles. This was for a UFO / Alien scene for Halloween. It came out awesome and was so much fun to work with!
