How easy is it to switch to this?** A: Both cats accepted it instantly. I put a little of the other litter I was using in one end and then topped up the other side with the Catisan. They preferred the Catisan to walk over. I used Catsan before I changed over and there was big white chunks all over the place. It did not stop the smell and there was no way you could tell what area the cats had wet on, but with the Catisan the colour changes on the wet areas so it's easy to find and to scoop it up into a doggy bag for disposal. The mess gets covered in the tray by the cats they make a big heap over it and the Catisan pink bits cover it lit bread crumbs. Easy to even lift out with a bit of toilet paper and bag up. I remove the soiled areas daily in the evening usually before bed. There are little pink bits in the mix there are softer pink bit that can be easy broken up and that's the bits that make it smell nice. The cats don't mind the smell. I change the the whole litter tray once a week and wash and dry the litter tray with a paper towel. Just to keep it fresh and clean then fill it up. I top up the litter during the week when I remove the dark pink soiled wet litter. So it's quite easy to change the litter over without your cat being upset. I find it very easy to manage the soiling and messing.
