It is not warm and does not seem to be impacted by the power draw. **Q: Should PDUs be connected only to computer equipment? What about home appliances?** A: It is possible, but this PDU is designed to be rack mountable so unless you have a server rack next to your home appliances I am not sure why would you want to use this one. Just get a regular surge protector to connect your home appliances. BTW, this unit includes L5-20 to 5-15P adapter to connect to a "regular" home outlet. **Q: is product description incorrect? It says 16 C13 outlets but the pictures show C14???** A: Thank you for reaching about the PDUMH30HV. This PDU has C13 outlets that a C14 plug would plug into.
