I've only had it a couple of weeks and it is holding up great. I'm 6'-2" and the longest setting is too long for me. This rope could probably work for someone as tall as 6'-6". I had to shorten it by about 2" on each side. Luckily the screw mechanism is very easy to adjust just with your fingers - no screw driver necessary. On top of that they give you extra screws! The final cherry on the top is the little plastic "screw clamps" that hold your rope perfectly wound so it's not a mess of cords in your gym bag. Very useful addition - I'm always for trying to keep things as neat and tidy as possible. See my pictures for illustrations. For $10, probably one of the best ropes you can get. I have been through a fair share of jump ropes and this seems to be doing better than most of them. It may look very simple but it boosts a tough and sleek design. Another criterion, was whether it would get tangled in my gym pack. I can say that the way the rope has been made, it does not tangle.
