My neighbor was a world renowned blade smith and I know the skill and time required to create them. Of course, his knives cost in the thousands.I received this Toferner hand forged knife today. It’s one of the finest I’ve ever handled. For it being a large knife, it’s remarkably not heavy nor cumbersome to use when held in hand. The craftsmanship is excellent and it’s shave ready sharp. The handle is leather cord wrapped with a peened pommel. The design is very true to form of the classic Viking seax style. The scabbard is very sturdy and well constructed with unblemished leather. I had thought twice about the cost but now have no doubts about this solid investment.
