I suggest that if you live in a state you're not getting much sun, like me, Maine, and esp being a woman, a vitamin D supplement is a good idea. Just don't take way more than your MD suggests. D is a fat soluble vitamin, it'll store in your body, you will not pass excess via urine. Like a water soluble vitamin like C. Fat soluble vitamins can build up and become toxic.
