The design is perfect... underneath soft corner rubber pads so that it will not scratch surfaces, and the edges are slightly rounded so that this does not cut or scratch skin. It's the perfect size too and comfortably fits a dinner plate, teapot, 2 mugs, etc. It's wonderful!
