These are printed with the best color reliability out there better accuracy than using plastic or fabric. **Q: What size is this?** A: It is 3 3/4 inches long (closed), 1 1/2 inches wide and a little over 1/2 inch thick. As the gray and silver became more dominate, I discovered that my former color pallet no longer worked for me. Recently purchased the Color Me a Season book (choose your most complimentary season, clothing styles, makeup colors, jewelry metal and size, hair styles by facial shapes) and color fan (which has a much more expanded color pallet with multiple shades from dark to light for each color). Noted one reviewer's comments that there were a lot of discrepancies between the two. Curious, I bought both sets of color cards to compare them. Removed from the fans and mounted on paper in sheet protectors, then compared side by side, there are remarkably few discrepancies between the two Winter pallets. The most notable is true red, which is not recommended in the Season pallet. Oh, well!
