My calico cat is lonely and needs a companion** A: No, this cat does not say anything at all-but is very cute! **Q: Are they soft** A: Depends on what you mean by "soft". For a baby or a very small child I'd say no. The very nature of the cat being able to sit in an upright position negates that they are cuddly for a small youngster. The cats are pretty densely packed but have some give. I think too much "rough housing" with these cats would eventually destroy their ability to sit upright. I bought Catalina and Boone the black cat more or less as decorations but an older child might appreciate that quality. The bottom line is who the cat is intended for.
