The zippered mesh ensures nothing inadvertently falls out when opening it up. The multiple ways to carry it make it convenient to adapt to your mode of travel. The outside is stylish & durable. I prefer not to check baggage (as mine frequently manages to not arrive at my destination when I do), but I wouldn’t hesitate to check it if needed, because it isn’t fragile & would take some real effort to mar the exterior of this bag.
