I say "simple" because the handles aren't really handles, they are just widened, elongated slats similar to the other slats that make up the walls of the tub. I didn't really like that, but maybe a real wooden tub is the same way, I don't know. The other thing I didn't like about it was that it is shallower than it looks. The base is twice as thick as the walls. I planned on making a cushion to put inside it like a little pet bed, but since it is so shallow, I had to under-stuff the cushion so that it would not completely fill up the height of the tub. Other than that, it looks just like it does in the picture, so I really can't complain, but I gave it four stars because I just like it, not love it.I will include a picture of it with the cushion I made for it.
