Goldfinger tape, also known as polyimide tape, is a polyimide film used as a substrate to coat high-performance silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives on one side. **Q: Have you had issues with it leaving marks or residue when using heat transfer vinyl?**
A: yes it leaves marks on some of my mugs

**Q: "expert" recommended this for wrapping around rv sewer hose in cold weather. i'm dubious. is she correct?**
A: This product does not generate heat. I'm sure they meant the other kind of "heat tape" which is like a long, flat ribbon that plugs into an electric outlet. Electrical resistance in the tape generates a small amount of heat to warm any object it is wrapped around.

**Q: Does this tape hold up to steam sterilization?**
A: I’ve used it to hold butcher paper to my Teflon blanket for extra protection when doing sublimations at 400 degrees. Hope this helps.

**Q: does this stick on parchment paper?**
A: It should be easily removable from parchment as needed. However I would not put it on other types paper.
