I gave them a four star and not a five star for the following reasons:1 - At $280 for the cages, you'd think that MC Enterprises could paint the bolts, spacers, and nuts, black to match the cage. Being that bikers are particular in how they take care of their bikes, paying a little more attention to the details would have been nice.2 - The instructions are very poor. If you're o.k. with the wrenches, you'll be able to figure installation out. Example, the illustration they have, shows a cage that isn't even the model of cage I purchased. Really? How hard would that be to show the correct model in the illustration.3 - It would have been nice if MC Enterprises would make some highway pegs that fit this particular cage. (7/8" diameter) This is an odd size diameter to match up highway pegs, as the vast majority of them are sized for 1" or larger crash bar tube size.The primary reason for purchasing this cage was to install highway pegs, as I'm doing a cross country tour this summer and on 8-10 hour days on the sport touring bike, nice to be able to stretch out the old legs. I found these highway pegs on Amazon "1" 1.25" New Highway Radical Tombstone Clamp Foot peg for YAMAHA Roadstar xv1700 moto" and installed them on the cage. Because they are 1" and the tube diameter is 7/8", I cut some 1" heater hose and wrapped it around the cage frame before installing the pegs. I then drilled two holes and installed two #10 - 10-24 bolts through each cage, so that they would stay tight and stationary.Note, if you're thinking of buying these, the cage does take up some space between your shins and the front fairing.
