Privacy Warning!If you want to use the Bluetooth connectivity the only option is to accept the user agreement for the iPhone app. I was shocked at how much data the app said it would collect and how I had to consent to sharing my personal health information with third parties outside of Omron.In summary, I paid extra for a function that I cannot use unless I give Omron and its friends free access to my health information.I won’t. This is unacceptable and I am pretty sure illegal. If not, it’s clearly immoral.UPDATEAn email to Omron has been unanswered for two months now. They clearly do not care.

I wanted to monitor my bp at home and since this machine was highly rated and could store values using bluetooth on my phone I decided to buy it. My bp had been about 150/80 when i last visited the doctor so when this instrument gave me values of 188/100 and 190/100, I went to the emergency room! My bp was high at the ER, but not as high as my monitor said. It continued giving me values in the 170-190 range for systolic and 80-100 range so I was concerned. Since I had a followup with a cardiologist, I brought it with me and compared the values with their BP monitor. My BP was measured 4 times on theirs and my monitor and the Omron Silver consistently gave values that were 25-30 higher on the systolic and 8-10 higher on the diastolic. It has some nice features and is easy to use, but accuracy is the most important thing for everyone and this consistently gave alarmingly high values. They say the cuff fits 9-17 inch arms and my arm is only 13 so I thought that wasn't the issue, but in the cardiologist's office when they used a too small cuff, the bp values were similar to the Omron values making me suspect this is one of the culprits for the high values. There needs to be better quality control because this was highly inaccurate and adds to the stress levels of anyone measuring their BP at home.

You are required to download Omron app to fully operate this BP machine. Omron app requires you to consent and share your medical information. with third parties. Also this is a Silver or mid range product but it's actually basic. Will return and shop for something better.

Good machine, it measure relatively quickly, and the machine display is easy to read.But the app is horrible, try setting it on iPhone XR on updated firmware, and it took close to a dozen tries before a solid connect. Also the app is hopeless, Can't easily create user, change user and log the entry.The app is nothing more than a log, and connects the machine to download the data when you press to establish the connection.Not recommend if app and app features is a priority to you, but everything else is good.

Found out I was getting readings that were 8-10 points higher than they were by manual or other readings by doctors at the Mayo Clinic. When I contacted customer support, they told me I was saying it incorrectly, then proceeded to go through a series of games with me on why it was too tight, or too loose, or not placed correctly, or I should be sitting differently, or not have drank water, or should’ve slept better, or took too many readings in a week, or didn’t take enough readings... said differently: Omron didn’t care. They got their money and the machine I have is useless.
