I am 5'2" and 130 lbs. with a true hourglass figure. I bought the medium, which is my usual size in leggings. These fit fine, but the corset does not go tight enough for my smaller waist and stomach, even on the tightest hooks. However, sizing down would mean that they would be tighter in the butt and thighs. Additionally, since these do not quite pass the squat test, I fear that going to the smaller size would stretch out in my curvy spots and make the already thin fabric even more transparent. On the plus side, these are soft, comfortable, do offer some shaping in the waist, and--best of all--the pockets are nice and deep. They also laundered well in a lingerie bag, and air dried nicely.
