I easily dyed a pair of pink jeans a normal, medium gray with it. Note that it did not dye over the Banana Republic stamp in the back inside waistband, the tag, nor the white threading sewn throughout the pants. It dyes cotton but, other materials such as rayon or polyester, not so much.If you want a blue-gray: they make another color, I believe it is called gunmetal (?), that is slightly more blue than gray but still a nice deep blue-gray initially.
