Review: Toasty - Brilliant heater. Thirsty on gas and the Colman 1lb propane bottles are a rip off. It comes with an adapter to run on regular butane/propane mix camping gas, which works ok but suffers with the canisters freezing during use

**Q: Does it come with the portable stove? Where can you purchase it?**

**Q: Does this come with the quick connect hose to attach to a 20lb propane tank or is this sold separately?**
A: The QD on this is to feed gas to the stove.  To supply gas to the heater they ONLY have the "disposable tank" port forcing you to get a hose like the F273704 (a hose like the F271803 won't work).  That hose I'm suggesting doesn't require the "filter" (item F273699), but any other hose like it will need the filter.  No hose comes with this, so you need to buy it separate (or add it to the order yourself).

**Q: Operate above 7000 feet???**
A: Probably not, these heaters were advertised as 9000' max but the 2 I bought would not work at 8600'. I contacted Mr Heater and they said it was a misprint because they use the same sensor as the buddy heaters which is 7000' max.

**Q: Does it have a built in fan?**
A: No, this doesn't have a fan.  It puts out radiant heat, so it just warms the surrounding area

Brilliant heater. Thirsty on gas and the Colman 1lb propane bottles are a rip off. It comes with an adapter to run on regular butane/propane mix camping gas, which works ok but suffers with the canisters freezing during use

The only good thing about this model is that the tipover shutoff feature isn't as sensitive as previous models, and that it comes with an adapter for isobutane use. It's just as well, since the patented hose quick connect is impossible to get, even on mr heater website! And propane is still more expensive than premium diesel in the UK and the propane has halved in price. The main thing i dont like is that uts such a faff - 10 Celsius or freezing, propane or warmed up isobutane canisters, you have to keep unscrewing it and/or tilting it to get it to draw right. If it sounds like a blow torch it will not stay alit. Ibe only used this a few nights since the autumn. I can see why it's dropped in price and the old models are back. The isobutane adapter is definitely the best thing about this one
