What is it actually?** A: It's both... It's purple but you can see through the gel part where you rest your wrist. **Q: I bought this pad but it just doesn't work for me, it is just too short, I keep hitting the borders, am I the only one who thinks that ?** A: Mine works fine for me, but I have short hands and a mouse that doesn't take up a lot of space. Sorry you're having trouble. **Q: Does this come with the keypad wrist rest?** A: No but the wrist rest is pretty inexpensive as well. It is 100% worth it to buy these. I've had mine a long time now and that are just as comfortable as the first day I bought them. There is no smell and they are easy to clean. Moist cloth works perfectly. **Q: Is the base non skid?** A: It stayed in place well for me, is not of the quality of previous versions of this Fellowes mouse pad. I recently replaced it with the Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest - Blue (K62401AM), which is very nice! No slipping either, and nicer dual gel wrist rest.
