Even though they are 16oz, they feel lighter, and my hands fly during sparring. this is because padding is not concentrated at the knuckle, it is evenly distributed throughout. blocking kicks is also a breeze because of this design. one little problem is the thumb. it kind of sticks out, there were 2-3 times when I actually accidentally poked my sparring partner with it. it happens very rarely and is most likely my fault, but it has never happened with another glove.
