I want it for feeding wild bunnies that roam my yard. thanks !** A: this feeder is made to use in a wire metal hutch , it will not work to feed wild bunnies. **Q: mounting** A: The mounting "hooks/wires/brackets" came pre attached on mine. They are not something real fancy, but they are strong enough to hold about 2 - 3 times more weight than the feeder will hold.The feeder is made to attach to the side of the wire cage & with the way that the feeder is made, you position the hooks how you want them & they will stay there long enough to hang the feeder. They will move if the cage should get bumped, but they will NOT move enough to become unattached from the cage. This is very easy to hang in the cage. Some people suggest that you need to cut a hole in the side of the cage & then put the feeder through the hole with the stack on the outside. I did not have to do this with mine, the entire feeder is on the inside of the cage where it hangs.It is a well built from thick Galvanized steel & the hangers are also very well made...so it is more than likely, that this will be the last feeder you will need to buy. **Q: Hi all!
