ZippoDay of the Dead Lady

I've been using Zippo now since I was 17 years of age and now in my 50s, I've own this particular one for 4 years now and haven't changed the flint as yet. My first Zippo was purchased in 1983 when I joined the Parachute Regiment and is an essential piece of kit especially when lighting camp fire or simply lighting your cigarette in very windy conditions.Zippo is very strong and haven't replaced any parts as they last a life time, the price for a Zippo is always good and worth every penny.They must be good as everyone in the movies is using them now.

The lid on one of the lighters was extremely wobbly and never lined up correctly.The insert also felt to loose none of the lighters had the safety tape you get on the back of all new zippo lighters I believe the lighters I had received had already been sold and returned only to be sent out again, so buyers beware I have also returned the lighters back to amazon for a full refund. The Quality of these lighters are not what you would expect from zippo very disappointing.

The lighters themselves function as expected. The finish however, has not lasted. Since the third of December (when I received the lighters) image of the Male skeleton has started to flake off. This is very disappointing, as I have only subjected it to normal use, the lighter isn’t even two months old, and is sentimental. If you are going to order this item, I would reccomend the set as display only, as they will not last very long otherwise. The zippo warranty does not cover the finish, so I can’t get it repaired, and there is no guide to getting the finish repaired, although I am willing to pay for it. I wouldn’t be willing to return them, as they are sentimental to me and another, and returning them would mean taking theirs too. Pictures of the finish are attached, you can see the damage on the skeletons back.I have given the lighters three stars, as the other one of the set has lasted.*If there is a way I could get the finish repaired, please contact me, I will be grateful, and will change my review accordingly.

Looks brilliant, but I'm constantly filling it up with lighter fluid as it runs out pretty quick

I collect Zippo lighters, what more can I say, guaranteed for life, what more do you want!!
