It's really not a bad little amp. A casino should sound good through it. **Q: Has anyone found it to be low volume on the clean channel? I have to turn it almost all the way up to get it loud** A: It's a bit quiet on the clean channel. But the good news is you can crank the clean channel all the way without getting any of that gross solid state clipping. The amp has the headroom. For a volume boost you can also use the gain channel with the gain on a low setting. For band practice I have played this amp with a drummer. I just turned the level up a bit on a pedal to give the amp a boost. It wouldn't be enough for gigging with a drummer. But for practice it can be fine. If you're gigging, this shouldn't be your main amp. I use it as a lightweight alternative to my AC15. Because not every situation calls for a large heavy amp. This thing is small, sounds great and is very easy to bring on the go. My main amp is now a Fender Deluxe, but I actually think the Pathfinder has a more natural tone than ther Fender Frontman or Champion 20. To me it is just a great portable amp. And for a while it actually was my primary amp – I just shaped the thing to suit all of my needs with an EQ pedal. **Q: can you take it on the go without a power cable?** A: Need the power cable supplied with the amp for site connection's, unless yout have a cord that will correctly work with the unit. **Q: is this a pure tube amp?** A: No tubes, this is a solid state amp. But I must say it sounds very authentic to the legendary Vox amps from the sixties, either played clean or overdrive.
