But if your base isn't blonde but a brunette with blonde highlights your stylist would have to make that judgment. If you are blonde with blonde highlights then the blonde formula is a must. The reason why they created that formula is because from the past blondes found that the keratin treatment didn't last as long as someone who had darker hair. Blonder hair is naturally more porous so it was not holding onto the keratin. Anticipating a trip to Florida (aka HELL for fine curly hair) I decided to give this a try. Normally when using a flat iron on my hair, it ends up very flat- until there is any moisture in the air at all at which point it degrades to a half curled, frizzy mess. Two days before my Florida trip I did the treatment and was impressed that while my hair was straight, it was FULL, styled very easily, and stayed that way. Thinking so far so good, I headed to Florida. Upon getting off the plane I was hit with a wave of humidity and thought there was no way in the world my hair would remain unaffected. I was wrong, wrong, wrong. After waiting outside for 45 minutes for a shuttle then traveling another hour to get to a hotel, I ran to the bathroom anticipating a mess.
