It goes down like a bran muffin in a drink. I also sometimes drink a glass with water 15 minutes before dinner and I noticed I'm able to control my portions much better. Another reviewer said it is clumpy, and it is, especially if you wait. That is because fiber absorbs water so as time goes on it gets a little thick. The orange stuff works the same way, so either way you have to drink it quickly or maybe water it down a little and mix it up again (or just drink the thick remainder). OK, it doesn't taste like chocolate cake, but it isn't supposed to. I think this stuff tastes great, especially with milk. In addition to this supplement once or twice a day, which is more like a food than a supplement, I'm eating 1 high fiber snack bar a day and trying to eat veggies (I'm allergic to most fruits) at every meal for about 30g of fiber a day. I still eat my favorite bad food (pizza and Chinese food), but I am eating smaller portions-- and not because I'm forcing myself to eat small portions but because I'm full sooner. Additionally it is free of grasses common in the wheat family including Barley, Alfalfa and Wheatgrass. I find that I am allergic to wheat gluten AND wheat and these are grasses I need to avoid as well. Purchase with confidence, double check your jar, enjoy! **Q: Does it dissolve in liquid?** A: No, it doesn't really dissolve. The powder is very fine, similar in size and texture of ground cinnamon. When mixed in water, it becomes a suspension. The first three times I used it, I mixed it in a glass of water, about eight ounces and stirred it with a spoon. It was horrible, like drinking muddy water. I had to choke it down and could feel the "slurry" of powder that clumped and didn't mix well. Now I put a scoopful in a 500ml stainless steel water bottle, fill halfway and shake vigorously. Then I fill the remainder of the bottle and reshake.
