I don’t often write reviews but I felt compelled to for this product. I recently replaced my furnace and the pressure changes in the return supply were causing excessive oil canning banging noises that could even be heard on the 2nd floor of my house! Google suggested adding sound deadening to absorb the noise. The Amazon Basics sound deadening works perfectly! Not only do I no longer hear the banging up on my 2nd floor, I don’t even hear them in the basement standing right next to my furnace! The peel & stick adhesive backing is very user friendly and fairly forgiving. You can unstick small sections & reposition if need be. The material cuts easily if you need smaller pieces/sections. The best part is it is a fraction of the cost of brand name alternatives such as Dynamat.
