You can use it by hand using the blue handle or you can screw in any length extension handle you want so it's possible to use it standing up. Convertible meaning it converts from hand held to standing up... **Q: Will this work for peel and stick laminate tiles?** A: I think it would work well for small projects. For larger rooms or entire houses, a larger roller would be handy but this product is really well built and definitely heavy enough to get smaller jobs done.
