**Q: is this good for cleaning electrical wires ,,before soldering ??**
A: I use it for copper wire Sculptures. I usually clean it with 0000 steal wool. then use the flux when I solder. There must be good mechanical contact.

**Q: in electronics, does it leave residues after use?**
A: Yes it would.  This is not for electronics.   It is for plumbing and sheet metal work.
