Review: I think it will last a while and for now it's working. I like that it's lower voltage and 0.1 joules so that it isn't harmfull to small animals. The enclosed flyer shows a pictogramme of a hare, a squirrel and a cat for the pe2 model. If ya got cows, elephants crocs and kangaroos (lol) you'll need a stronger model. This one is fine for my tomato plants. :) BTW, i mounted it inside an enclosed plastic container (my pool alkalinity plus container) that has an opening lid to protect against the elements. Laid it flat in the bottom, screwed the bottom to my vertical support and drilled 2 holes for wires. I can open the lid to access the unit. The power cord runs out the corner of lid (made a little notch for wire). I never stuck my hand on the fence but my cheap volt meter was able to momentarily see 1375volts on the 1000v scale between fence and probe touching the earth. Good enough for me. I'm sure it's 5kv as advertized. Didn't want to try directly on the unit's output to not blow my crappy meter. It is now a month later and this gizmo has saved my tomatoes. Not a single critter stuck around to grab a bite and i have hares, squirrels, ground hogs and possibly others but for the first time none made it through the barrier. On 3 occasions the wire was seemingly stretched from what had to some very unhappy animal that got zinged lol. Nobody died so it seems safe.
Review: Works execellant, very good charge that lasts for days without sun power. Deers can hear it, dont even try.

**Q: Will it work for a Trump yard sign?**
A: I used a much more powerful unit and it worked perfectly. Our sign is the only one still in our neighborhood.

**Q: Will this unit electrify a normal sized mailbox?**
A: Yes, this unit is strong enough to electrify a normal sized mailbox.  I have never seen it done but this charger can do it if it is set up correctly.

**Q: I have two chihuahuas that I am trying to keep away from a section of my yard.  Is this too much voltage?**
A: I have this although I have not used it yet due to snow.   It is similar to the Hartz model in voltage.   It is not a steady current.   I have 4 small dogs 7-10 pounds.   All touched the line they yelped.   I held the line and it surely tingles didn't hurt.   One however did get stuck on it however still not sure and it left a wound not bad but a mark nonetheless.   They did learn to stay away from it after three or so zaps.   It is not strong like for large animals but I would supervise your dogs to be certain nothing bad happens until they learn to keep away.

A: The box is 5" wide at the base, 6" in height and 2 3/4 thick. The box tapers a bit at the top.
