It is not at all soft to side on. It’s quite hard actually. Although the dimensions were accurate and it fit my chair, I would never use this again. I used it for maybe thirty minutes and then had to call it quits. It is also very hot. My butt got sweaty quickly when I was on it for that brief amount of time. Mind you I was indoors and therefore A/C and nice and cool. I definitely returned this. Not worth the money. You could sell it for a third of the price and still wouldn’t be worth the money. I’m only giving two stars because although it was terrible, it did seem to be constructed well.
