They arrived several weeks from each other cheaply packaged for shipping from abroad. I was in no hurry to receive them so didn't mind, but one took long enough that I forgot I had ordered it when it finally came. They were well cushioned and undamaged on arrival. Something to keep in mind if you order.The bowls themselves are a terrific design, perfect for washing rice. Because the holes are on one side only, you can soak and agitate the extra starch off the grains in the center and drain when you're done by tilting the bowl. The lip of the bowl curves inward very slightly to keep the rice from slipping out when you tilt. The handle on the other side provides a good grip too. I much prefer this to washing rice in the rice cooker bowl or a regular colander. The bowl size is small but comfortably washes about 3 cups of uncooked rice.It works best with short grain rice or fat, larger grains, or beans. Thinner grains tend to get stuck in the holes. I usually just hold back just a little in tipping the bowl so the rice doesn't fall too near the strainer part.Added bonus: the bowl is perfect for rinsing off my baby's soapy hair in the bath, which is what I actually bought one of the bowls for! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful item in a convenient size *by M***K on September 8, 2016* A very useful kitchen item. It rinses rice easily and thoroughly, is handy for rinsing fruit like grapes, berries and cherries, and is small enough to store with your stacking mixing bowls.The holes can catch grains of rice but I swish the rice in the bottom then only tip it enough for the water to drain while leaving the majority of the rice in the bottom.
