My cabin heat, while ok, was also just not as hot as I was used to. This thermostat install is a relatively simple procedure and there's already a gasket installed on the replacement. I cleaned up the mating surface on the engine with a green scrubby pad to help insure a leak free seal. I also used a small bicycle sized torque wrench to reinstall the bolts and torqued to 105 inch lbs. This is just a little over 8 foot lbs - don't get these mixed up. So the bolts are snugged up nicely but do not need to be cranked super tight. With the new thermostat installed, the coolant temp is now cycling between 200 and 213 degrees. The P0128 code is also gone, and the cabin heat is back to its normal "nice and hot".
