Before you put any new tape on the steps, you must clean them off completely with something like goof off which will remove all of the old adhesive on the stairs before putting on the new tape. **Q: Does it ruin inside steps when take off?** A: Yes, unfortunately it does **Q: Do these work on pressure treated wood steps** A: I put some on my wood steps on the back porch (because my wife slips on snow a lot). We needed it for a wheelchair ramp. Got it in one day. Easy to cut and put down. Since it was 1 roll 12” wide by 35 ft I was able to cut it into several pieces going down the ramp. Removed the backing after cutting and put it on the wood ramp.
