## Description

The Classic Aeron Chair was designed for Herman Miller by designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick. Almost immediately, it was added to the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art. This now-iconic chair broke every convention in office chair design when it was introduced. Instead of foam padding, its seat and backrest were made of a breathable woven suspension membrane called Pellicle, which eliminates pressure and heat buildup as you sit. This model also features PostureFit Sacral Support another industry first to keep the seated spine in healthful alignment and combat fatigue. Building on the designers' belief that everyone deserves a great chair, Classic Aeron comes in three sizes small (A), medium (B), and large (C) allowing it to fit a wider range of people than any office chair. Guided by a height-weight ratio, Herman Miller recommends Size B for people between 5'5\" and 6'2\" in height and weighing between 150 and 230 pounds. People with b

Review: Great Office Chair - I had an Aeron Chair at work, and then I brought it home during the Pandemic. After 17 years (early 2007-late 2023), the seat support broke, but it was actually still functional (and fairly comfortable). Since I was retiring at the end of 2023, I had to return this chair anyway. Knowing how much I loved the Aeron Chair, I pursued this option through desertcart, which is less than half as expensive as a new Aeron Chair purchased through Herman Miller. I knew that the chair was probably refurbished, but it looks and feels as good as a new chair. Keep in mind, that the new chair arrives in a box with some assembly and no written instructions. There are plenty of assembly videos on youtube.com that help guide you through the minimal assembly. If you love the Aeron Chair, I definitely recommend this approach. UPDATE AND WARNING: A few months after purchasing this chair (i.e., early 2024), the support bolt broke, similar to what happened with my original office chair. Only thing, is that didn't happen until 15 years after I first got it. The one I bought for myself lasted only a few months. I jury-rigged a fix, but it is not as comfortable as the original.
Review: Appearance was good at 1st but ages very poorly - Everything out of the box seemed very good, not perfect. But was very good at 1st. After about 1 year I noticed a lot of play in the seat and especially the arm rests. I bought another used chair locally that has a date code from the 2000's and it has held up way better. Not sure if the parts they use to refurbish these chairs sold on desertcart are compatible or not genuine replacement parts. my arm rests now after 7 years are very loose and the seat has a lot of play even when locked out. Starting get get some back pain now when sitting in it. I know 7 years is a long time, but for the price I would hope it would hold up better over time. Going to start looking for different chairs.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this chair brand new or refurbished? does it come with the herman miller 12 year factory warranty? i didn't see answered from madison seating yet.**
A: Hello - Wendy from Office Designs here - Thank you for your inquiry! Office Designs is an authorized Herman Miller seller and our Herman Miller products are new and include the Herman Miller 12-year manufacturer's warranty. We are also a certified Herman Miller Repair Center with Herman Miller Certified Technicians. I hope that helps!

**Q: What's the store that is selling this chair? Does it have 12 year Herman Miller warranty if i buy it here?**
A: Hello - Wendy from Office Designs here - We are a certified Herman Miller dealer. All of our Aeron Task chairs come with Herman Miller's 12-year warranty. Here is our Amazon store link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/node/index.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&me=A3KHA1PWTHK7ES&merchant=A3KHA1PWTHK7ES&redirect=true

**Q: Can you tell me the package size and shipping weight? Thanks.**
A: The carton size is approximately 27" x 26" x 23" and the approximate shipping weight is 55 lbs.

**Q: Is the PostureFit supposed to pop off if you tighten it or lean back?**
A: Hello - Wendy from Office Designs here - Thank you for your inquiry! No, the PostureFit should not pop off. This happens when the incorrect size is used. The Chair and the PostureFit need to be the same size. You can check the size of the Aeron chair by feeling the bumps on the underside of the lip of the back of the chair. 1=A, 2=B, and 3=C. The same can be done for the PostureFit. The size bumps for it can be found on the inside of the 'Y' piece. I hope that helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have for those who work long hours at a desk
*by V***N on April 16, 2019*

I. Love. This. Chair. This was my desk chair at my office for over 12 years. It was sturdy, comfortable and supportive! When I recently got a new job and began to work from home I immediately missed my aeron chair so I had to buy one for myself. Normally I would not spend this much $$$ on a chair but boy is it worth it. No problems at all with shipping, it came in just a few pieces I had to put together. The instructions that come with it are lacking, I turned to YouTube for help with the lumbar control cable. Poking it through the mesh just doesn’t seem right but it is. Once you get this chair customized for yourself you won’t know how you worked without it.
