It is the lowest priced unit currently on desertcart. A solid buy. Thanks. 1. Plug in power brick. Green light comes on indicating power. So far so good. 2. Plug the battery sized adapter to the power brick. 3. Insert the battery sized adapter to the Canon SL3. Perfect fit. Correct orientation. 4. Turn on camera - nothing. No power. Multiple inserts etc - no availe. 5. Insert battery in camera - instant on. Indicating that camera works. So 1 star rating for this buyer. This is unfortunate as I need to do an extended webcast on Friday.

Funny thing when you've never tried running a cord out of your camera's battery compartment - you never notice little things that are hidden in plain sight. LOL When I unboxed this adapter for my Canon SL2, I was trying to figure out how to run the cord out of the battery door - because the camera won't power up if that door isn't snapped closed. Canon apparently thought of AC adapters when they designed it, and there's a little rubber flap that I'd never noticed before ... you just pop that open and the cord fits it perfectly. Once I discovered that, the camera powered up on AC power with zero issues. Battery indicator on the screen showed full bars and everything worked fine. While MOST of the time I'm fine on battery power, it's great to have this option for long-duration use - or when you're using Canon's webcam drivers for the sharpest webcam on your lengthy Zoom meetings. It's not a must have for general photography - unless you do a lot of indoor studio work - but really handy for times when you need your camera powered up for long periods of time. Great bit of kit!
