Review: Great routine couch cleaner - Used this with formula 2 and leather balm to clean my 15 year old couch. Specifically, are used formula 5 on the back and sides and formula to on the heavily soiled areas such as the seat and armrest. I then massage the leather balm into the entire couch. I used a combination of the provided sponge and a leather brush, both dampens with plain water, to apply the product to my couch. I then tried the couch with a dry bath towel. Formula 5 smells great, like leather and a bit like aftershave. The couch looks great. Cleaner and softer than it has been in years. If I had just used formula 5, I do not know if I would need the leather balm or not. The couch was very dry to begin with though, so I used the balm all over. I think formula 5 will be great for in a room cleanings and maintenance. The formula 2 and leather balm we’re also great; but, probably just for every once-in-a-while really deep cleaning and moisturizing.
Review: Effective and easy to use - I bought this for use on my furniture, and based on the ratings I was quite confident it would do the job. However, I didn't think it would be quite so pleasant to use. First - no weird smell. Chamberlain's Leather Milk smells like almonds, really. Second - easy to apply. They include a little buffing pad, which I used. I poured a little on the pad, and spot tested on the back of a sofa cushion. I hate how sometimes when you use a mousse type product, it smears on one area, leaving a dark spot, and does not spread to the other areas. Chamberlains doesn't do that. It's almost like a lotion, but it gets absorbed evenly. I don't have to spend too much time rubbing it off, it just spreads around nicely. Third - saves time. Because it spreads around nicely, my sofas which used to take me an hour and a half of work is now reduced to the time it takes for me to wipe them down - about 10 minutes total. Fourth - leaves leather supple. It's like a body lotion for your leather (not a cream). Works just great for me, no spots, but the leather is supple and soft after treatment. I feel that it is less prone to scratches too, because the leather isn't brittle. Great purchase, great product. I use it everywhere now, on wallets, leather car seats, etc. Still on my first bottle but will purchase again.

**Q: Is this safe to color dyed leather furniture?**
A: I was concerned about exactly the same thing. Our furniture is in our living room and i didn't want to mess it up! I contacted Chamberlain Customer Service and this was their reply: "Yes, Furniture Treatment No. 5 is fine for use on color-dyed leather.  You shouldn't have a problem as long as the color-dyed leather has been properly sealed.  With lighter colored leathers, especially highly absorbent soft leathers, No. 5 can darken them.  We don't recommend using Furniture Treatment No. 5 on extremely soft-type leathers or suede."Still I was a bit nervous because my couches are soft leather, but a neutral tan color. It brought out the rich color of the leather which I was really pleased with! I would try it in a inconspicuous spot like all these people tell us! Good Luck!

**Q: I have a leather sofa that is very sticky. Would this be suitable to clean a sticky sofa?**
A: Hi Eric.  This is exactly why I got the leather milk.  I had so much build up from other products that one of the seats on my sofa was very sticky.  Sadly, this product didn't help much.  There is another product from Chamberlain's (I think it is 2, where this one is 5) that helped a bit, but I am still trying to solve the mystery.  Good luck!

**Q: Can this product remove bad, chemical smells left by other products?**
A: I would say no. It doesn't have any odor to it. Nice conditioner though.

**Q: I recently purchased a used leather couch, Is this the right product to clean/condition it?**
A: Hi Deanna, this is what I used it for. I have a very expensive leather sofa that looked warn. This does a great job of cleaning and softening the leather (leaves sort of a natural sheen). I use it on my sofa every six months or so. From now on, this is the only product I will use on dyed leather. It will darken natural leather. Love the stuff.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gets the job done…

I used this for an Ikea black leather Karlstad sofa that was almost a decade old and beginning to lose a bit of its luster. This Leather Milk revitalized its appearance and even gave the leather a more buttery feel to the touch. The conditioner is similar to hand lotion in appearance and consistency, just not as thick, and a little goes a long way. The sofa has a natural grain where the conditioner can build up and appear white in the cracks, but this is easily remedied by giving it an extra buffing. Unlike the Formula No. 2 cleaner which has a pleasant, raspberry soda-like fragrance, I removed one star from the No. 5 Conditioner because the scent is more perfume-like and a bit harsh and agitating to my senses, but it disappears after a day or two of being applied. Recommended!
