So I never upgraded my old Wyze camera either. If they ever do put SD card in I'll buy one of these at that time. While looking at doorbell cams I seen this one and thought oh' great they "finally" have a real outside camera to get now. Nope' they're still behind, its by a long shot now too. You went backwards Wyze. **Q: Does this door bell have to be wired? Or can you just stick it on the wall and put a battery in it?** A: Yes, it has to be wired. You can still use the Wyze Video Doorbell even if you don’t have an existing doorbell set up by using a standalone 16V-24V, ≥10W transformer with wires to power up the doorbell. **Q: Is it Alexa compatible?** A: If Alexa can announce it you can set a routine that when that event happens, show the camera on device. I do that with wyze cameras now.
