These do not have the absorbency for free flowing, unless with really light flow at beginning of end of cycle. I'm comparing these to the expensive Thinx underwear which we bought before these. They were bulky, the barrier did not go from waist band to waist band, and they looked so old after a few washes. But the main issue with those was the bulk was noticeable through her jeans, and she experienced leaks in bed while sleeping and even leaks in public.
