Similar hats will run around $60 and I have always gone with the idea of, “you get what you pay for” Some things you can’t cheap out on, and if you do, you’ll get a crap hat with shoddy construction that falls apart after one summer. So I was skeptical about this hat to say the least but since I’ve been searching for one for so long I just decided, go for it. This is easily equivalent to a$40-$60 hat and I’m very happy with it. I will update if it falls apart but based on look and stitching I don’t see that happening. What does the viscose (rayon) content do to the cap?** A: Viscose is a derivative of bamboo fiber. It's a beautiful, soft and sustainable fiber. It's a great compliment to linen. The blend will make your cap softer. It washes the same as linen, so hand wash, or you can spot treat and then put it into a pillow case and wash on gentle in your washing machine. Never dry in the dryer! Line dry or dry flat. You will be able to iron it, but use a press cloth to avoid burning the fabric, unless you are really confident with ironing or have a Teflon shoe for your iron.
