I am using them for general plaster repairs, pointing and clay modelling They are very versatile. I can't paint but they are good for many different jobs so I think they would be good for cakes. Just clean them properly when you have done with them. **Q: Are these pallet knives very flexible?** A: The longest one is quite flexible but the shorter ones are quite sturdy I'm afraid.
