These are the first shoes I've bought for him so I wasn't sure what size to get. His foot measures 4" from big toe to heel, and 2" at the widest part of his foot. These are too long, which is fine, but a good width. I do wish there was a tag or something on the heel to help put the shoe on. The bottom is sturdy for a walking baby but the sides feel like thin leather so they don't offer great ankle support. We had a really hard time putting them on my son which is why we decided to return them. His feet are normal size (not extra wide or anything) but the tongue of the shoe didn't allow us to fully open the shoe so we had to really twist and push to get them on.
