I use a make-up brush agitator on mine, rinse, and repeat before smoothing/reshaping them and lying them flat to dry.I use this with acrylics, clear coatings, and mod podge. It works better if the brushes are still wet, but loosens up the dried bristles as well.I prefer this bar version over liquid soaps because you can press the brush into it and unlike the liquids it won't just move around on you, but really gets in deeper toward the base of the brush. I like that it suds up and lathers well.
