As we know from previous books rebels kidnapped the two women and had killed Harlow’s boyfriend Mark . A secret organisation comprising of ex elite service men who include the billionaire Montgomery brothers who are all ex Navy Seals took part in the rescue . Now safely back home Harlow has to gain her life back not only in strength but also as she has had try to deal with the mental torture both her and Taylor endured at the hands of the rebels . Charged with helping her is Jaxton Montgomery , as well as being her rescuer ,and one of her billionaire bosses he’s also known for his playboy ways deep down though he’s not as bad as the paparazzi make out . He’s always had a soft spot for Harlow , he even asked her out when she started working for the company two years ago . Although she is attracted to Jax she turned him down because of his reputation . At the start Harlow seems a little reticent in taking any help from anyone but with help from Jax’s gorgeous little dog Molly it’s not long before Harlow realises she need to accept all the help she can get .
