I did clean the windshield thoroughly and applied Rain-X to it so that it would have a nice surface to seat on and they work perfectly -- smooth action, no skipping, and no streaks. I found these after doing very little research. I didn't want to spend an arm and leg on wipers but I also didn't want some junk that feel apart after a month or so. I have been using these for about 4 months and they work great. They were easy to install and fit perfect on the car. I feel I go a great deal and only test now is to see how long they last.
