With that having been said you should watch a few videos on your xtool specific to metal not only to see the process but to get some ideas for what they are using (cleanup and all). Have a good one. **Q: will this work with a diode laser with 5.5w output?** A: Our recommendation is 25 watts minimum for CO2 laser and 10 watts minimum for fiber laser. But make sure brass doesnt warp, it may happen if the metal is too thin. Also try to put a flat piece of wood which may help to contain the required heat. As its a combination of heat, frequency and wavelength etc. for it to work on metals.
