Machining and casting clearances are pretty good. Features are on par with any branded reel you could buy at this price range, probably better. Looks great! I like all the aluminum. The non used handle side cap comes with a decent silicon washer. The only thing I’d love to see on this model would be a gasket between Casing halves. And a true snap ring that holds on the pinion guide sleeve for the spool (tho metal ring that is in there works fine, but will hinder service time in the future) great setup. And one of the nicest ones in its price class. Point me in the direction of a nicer 70 dollar spinning reel in a 6000 size.. I’ll wait. Also included a picture for size reference with a spin spin fisher live liner 6500. So sizing is also not an issue, about exactly what you should expect. Is this true?** A: No, it is pretty much impossible with this design. I have the 6000 size reel, which boasts the same claim or 30++ kg drag. I have tested it carefully, and tested it some more, and have never ever gotten over 9 kg drag (20lb). The main reason I bought this reel over something like a Penn Battle or Daiwa BG was for the drag, but yeah.... Does NOT live up to the claim about drag. It is pretty powerful and smooth of a reel, but this drag design is not anywhere near enough to match the claims, unfortunately. **Q: Compare 5000 size to which other brand?** A: Is about the size of Daywa 5000 spinning reels **Q: Which size holds the most line?** A: I have a 9000 and have 300 yards of 50lb Suffix braid and a top shot another 100 yards of Hercules 50lb braid so at the moment 400yrd and there is still room. This is all very much line dependent, different manufacturing has different diameters and strengths.
