I purchased for over the toilet and not to use as a commode, (although it would be easy to handle and clean). Easy to assemble, light weight and yet at 200+ lbs extremely sturdy. This is perfect over the toilet to raise oneself if they have back or hip pain. The only negative, as another person had described, the packaging is not suitable for shipping. I had requested that it be put in Amazon packaging but arrived in its damaged box and taped up. Parts were wrapped in bubble and nothing was missing.
