It would be unfair to say "scent free", however it is significantly reduced compared to normal vegetable oils. Bio-based additives that help provide for anti corrosion, anti-oxidation and anti-wear will have, ever so slightly, a faint scent. There are no solvents, no dyes, no fragrances or other VOC producing chemicals in this product. So it is extremely low odor but I we couldn't say "scent free". **Q: Does this work with greenworks 24v polesaw ?** A: It works for all applications that call for bar & chain oil. **Q: The bottle I received today (09/09/2021) has an expiration date of 09/04/2020. Is this correct?** A: Hi, the date on the bottle is when it was manufactured. If you keep the lid on the product, in the existing container, in a relatively clean/dry space, it will last up to 4yrs. The downfall of any oil, and in particular bio-oil, is water so its important to keep the lid on the product when not in use. Although it is designed to have accelerated biodegradability in the environment, remaining in the bottle with the lid in place, void of microorganisms, sunlight and water, the product is incredibly stable due to our anti oxidation chemistries. A different big brand was too thick for my automatic oiler.** A: Howdy Bert, The Pro100 is an ISO VG 100 chainsaw oil. This product is thinner than most "big brand" that are ISO 150 or sometimes even 220 but its designed to be thicker when it gets hot on the bar/chain (extremely high Viscosity Index). Our Eco32 is a VG 32 oil and designed for this purpose where a thinner oil is required. I'm not sure of our stock position but if you can't find it, go with a canola cooking oil. The standard viscosity is pretty darn close to VG 32. However when using a cooking oil with no performance additives, make sure you clean your saw bar/chain with a good degreaser. Cooking oils tend to cause rusting and or a hard resin when left to the elements. Using a cooking oil will not harm your oiler or saw as long as you thoroughly clean it, empty the reservoir and don't leave it outside where its subjected to water/heat.
