This product is ideal to apply in the spring and summer. It not only controls over 200 types of weeds but also prevents new ones from emerging with an extended 6-month control barrier. This fertilizer targets and kills large Crabgrass and forms a protective barrier to prevent it from reemerging for up to 6 months. As an efficient lawn food, it aids in strengthening turf while providing long-lasting feeding. This spring and summer lawn fertilizer requires just one application for both prevention and elimination of listed weeds and Crabgrass. It covers 4,000 square feet. RESTRICTIONS: Not for sale in NY, HI, & FL. Review: It works, it really, really works!!! - I'm not going to ask you to trust me, just hear me out. I've spent the last 14 years trying to correct/eradicate weeds in a yard that was neglected by the previous owner for 50 years, it's been a struggle. I've literally spent 10s of thousands of $$$ over that time on various weed killers, seed, and water on the yard (~¾ acre). This product however, hit different in all the right ways. It wiped out pesky areas of clover, annihilated ground ivy (creeping Charlie), dandelions, and whatever cabbage looking stuff I usually see this time of year. Crabgrass is nearly nonexistent, the limited amount I see is most likely from application limitations. Yes, it stinks a little after application, be happy, that means you got the good stuff! Timing of application is critical!!!! DO NOT APPLY TO A DRY LAWN!!! For the best results, apply in morning while the yard is dew soaked, followed by rain/irrigation, provided you can reasonably expect no rain the next 24 hours in either scenario. Buy it in advance to have on hand when prime conditions present themselves, be patient, but be ready to seize the moment when it presents itself, it will pay dividends! The nitrogen provided a decent greening, though after 5 weeks, another feeding might be needed. Coverage was a little less than advertised, but 3 bags were sufficient for ¾ acre with rotary spreader. Don't expect a one and done solution for heavily infested yards, it may take multiple applications over multiple seasons to achieve a weed free yard, just like Rome wasn't built in a day. I'd give this product 11/5⭐️s, 'cause it's twice as good as anything else out there.
Review: Pro Results - This product gets better results than the professional fertilizing companies I've used in the past. It gets rid of hard to eradicate weeds and lasts for several months. I suggest a few weeks after application using "Ironite" or a product that has the main or sole nutrient nitrogen for a really green lawn weed free. It's remarkable that the Bayer 5 in 1 eradicates crabgrass too. The only downside to the product is that it definitely has a chemical odor that lingers a a couple days or more. Pour the product into the spreader on cement so if you spill it won't destroy the lawn. Wear long sleeves, gloves, pants, goggles and maybe a mask. Your neighbors might think you're odd but hey better to be safe than have any adverse outcome from using any chemical. Keep pets off too for at least a couple days or until the odor goes away. Those are my suggestions for using this product a couple times of year versus multiple times fertilizing and doing it safely for a weed free, green (use a nitrogen nutrient), lush, professional looking lawn.

**Q: Once applied how long before it's considered pet safe?**
A: We would recommend keeping pets out of the area while applying and until the product has been watered in and allowed to dry completely. The product does require to set for 24 hours and then be watered in with 1/4-1/2 inch of water. Once dried it is safe for pet reentry.

**Q: ok to use if I seeded 2 weeks ago?**
A: I will  never use product again it is junk
